"What's all the Static?" A comment from the crowd around the boat at the 1927 Rochester Boat Show inspired the name that's stuck with this boat since new. The rarest of the rare! Little is known about the Rochester Boat Works, other than the boats were reportedly designed by A.W. "Bill" MacKerer during a brief tenure at Rochester Boat Works from 1926 to 1928.
There are only three of these known to exist, and one of the three was restored from a badly deteriorated hull, so may not be as authentic as this one, which was restored from a very original hull.
Powered by an original Hall-Scott LM-6 of 200 hp, which has been recently refreshed by Bob Mishko.
