A great opportunity to own the Elco launch to have! The truest hull to the original 1893 version built for the Columbian Exposition in Chicago. This boat has been in our care for the past four years, and has been lightly used but heavily maintained under the guidance of her very knowledgeable yachtsman owner.
We added a tiller, and reupholstered her seating in reversible leather/Sunbrella cushions. She carries 8 eight-D 12 volt batteries to power her 5 horsepower, 48 volt electric motor. She cruises at a sedate 5 knots, and requires only an overnight charge from the onboard charging system after eight hours running time. Her fiberglass hull is heavily constructed, and her oak and mahogany decks and sole are in excellent condition. She features the oak-framed surrey top, with tan canopy. Also included is a galvanized tandem axle trailer specially modified to accommodate the shape of the hull.
Most of the Elco launches on the market are the smaller 18 or 21 foot versions. The 30' hull is much more graceful in the water, while also accommodating more passengers.
