Built by Fish Brothers Custom Boats circa 2010, this vessel measures 26 ft long (plus rudder), with 5 ft 6 in beam.
Powered by a 454 big block, hp unknown (350 hp plus), the boat is constructed of mahogany over white oak framework and the hull is fastened with copper rivets.
The boat was built as a replica of the famous Hacker design known as "El Lagarto", the first boat to win the prestigious Gold Cup trophy 3 years in a row. The original Hacker design of "El Lagarto" dates back to 1922, the boat was first campaigned unsuccessfully as "Miss Mary". When the rules changed to allow stepped bottomed boats, the boat was transformed into a champion. In building this replica the original "El Lagarto" with steps was measured.
The hull is also believed to be of the same design as the famous Ditchburn built boat "Rainbow III".
The boat has lived in the Muskoka for the past 13 years, and in that time has been updated to appear more like the boats which were built in Muskoka, including refinishing in a dark cognac color stain, and the addition of typical grated floors.
