We are pleased to offer this boat from our friends Bill and Bobby Banister. The design genesis of this boat began with the iconic Gar Wood Speedster hull, Bill having owned the famous "Miss Chief". Two feet were added to the length, and 12 degrees of deadrise was added to the hull to improve the ride. These lines were drawn by Harry Scholl, the naval architect best known for his work on the original Cigarette. The hull was then constructed in Australia, using state-of-the-art cold-molding techniques.
Finished in Florida under the watchful eye of these two veteran vintage boaters, the project benefitted from their two lifetimes of experience. Fitted with a 275 hp Crusader 350 cubic inch V-8, top speed approaches 50 mph. 18' in length, beam of 5'5", draft of 2'.
Finishes are fantastic, hardware is spot-on, and the black leather upholstery highlights the mahogany beautifully. While she's dealer-registered in Florida, she's never seen salt water.
Included in the sale is a custom mooring cover, and an anodized aluminum tandem-axle trailer.
Priced at $88,000, well below the build investment.
